Kasper Masschaele is Engineering Manager Software Engineering at Atlas Copco Airpower (Antwerp). After finishing a PhD in Chemical Engineering at KU Leuven, he worked for 3 years as a PostDoc on the design and development of a reactor for Artificial Synthesis before joining Atlas Copco as an R&D Engineer. In 2016 he became responsible for the team that builds software solutions to monitor and control compressor rooms. The team’s mission is to regulate compressor rooms with maximal stability in terms of air/gas flow output in the most energy efficient way. Moreover, the control eco-system is complemented with state-of-the-art IIoT features.
