Jonas Asprion was born near Zurich, Switzerland, in 1984. After studying mechanical engineering with focus on control systems at ETH Zurich, he stayed with ETH and received his Ph.D. in 2013. He then worked for CNH Industrial as control-systems engineer in the Advanced Control group, and now is Head of Research & Development with Tool-Temp AG in Sulgen, Switzerland, since 2018. Having built up the department from the ground, he is pushing development in all subject areas pertaining to the product portfolio of the company. Guided by systems thinking, topics range from mechanics, fluid- and thermodynamics, to control systems and user experience.
